This private residence for a family of 4 in rural Orange County, NC was designed to allow for a future upstairs office or playroom to be economically built with as little disruption as possible.  



They wanted the entire house on one main level with the exception of a future room addition upstairs.

A good connection to the outdoors was required from all main rooms.  Living, Dining, Kitchen and Master Bath all have directed access to a raised deck connecting to a screen porch.
